Celebrate the start of summer with us: On the longest day of the year, our Mobile Neighborhood Outreach team is hosting the Fennsee Rave for the Fête de la Musique. Sit down on a park bench and strike up a conversation with others—that’s the idea behind the “chat benches.” Launched by the Wilmersdorf Neighborhood Network, they’re back in our neighborhood again this year. When it’s not raining or stormy, volunteers or people from the network will be there at specific times, inviting you to meet others, make new connections, or just chat. Drop off bulky waste, pick up finds: Bring in broken and old items, big or small, and dispose of bulky items for free, practically right on your doorstep. You can give items in good condition to the BSR staff for the swap and giveaway market. Whatever’s left at the end of the day can be returned to the reuse cycle.
