LMP Logo

The House of Neighborhoods has been designated as a LebensMittelPunkt (LMP) since summer 2022, joining the ranks of 29 Berlin neighborhood centers promoting sustainable and healthy nutrition.

As an LMP, we embrace the food revolution in our daily lives and provide you with services related to cooking, solidarity-produced food, rescued food, meeting spaces, and more. You can find all of our offerings on this page. Interested in exploring other LebensMittelPunkte? Check out the network's website at www.lebensmittelpunkte-berlin.de.

Our offers

Indian cooking evening

The cooking evening is not a cooking course, but is aimed at people who feel lonely.
It's not about recipes and learning to cook, but about doing activities, cooking and eating together in small groups with friendly people without pressure or great expectations.

Every 4th Saturday of the month.

17.00-20.00 hrs

Participation only with registration with Sai:

or online

Wir laden euch herzlich ein, mit uns eine kulinarische Reise zu unternehmen. Sai kommt aus

SoLaWi distribution station

The PlantAge and Gemüsesyndikat solidarity farms distribute their vegetables once a week, fresh from the Brandenburg fields and with fair working conditions for the farmers. New customers and members are very welcome.

Foodsharing

Foodsharing rescues food from department stores, bakeries and restaurants that would otherwise be thrown away and gives it away via its Fairteiler fridges. Take what you want and give what you have left over.

Wall map

Our large wall map shows you our neighborhood: small organic stores, whole grain bakeries, environmental education locations, gardening spots, water dispensers for hot summer days, . . .  You can also add your own tips.

Hochbeete

8 Hochbeete bieten viel Platz zum Gärtnern. Willst du auch ein Beet bewirtschaften? Dann melde dich im Haus. Im Frühling werden die Beete neu und für ein Jahr vergeben.

Worm bin

Some of our kitchen scraps are transformed into fertile soil.

If you would like to start your own worm bin, we would be happy to share our experiences with you.

In planning . . .

Compost

Our worm bin residents are voracious eaters, but they need a little help. That's why we're planning to add two more large compost bins.

Kitchen Garden

Adjacent to our kitchen, we have a spacious terrace where we'd love to cultivate a small kitchen garden with fresh herbs and berry bushes. This will enhance our cooking experience. However, progress has been slow due to limited resources. We would greatly appreciate any helping hands!

Workshops

... haven't been scheduled yet. But perhaps you'd like to offer the first one :)
